All Branches Closed - Mon., Feb. 18 for Presidents Day

All library branches will be closed on Monday, February 18th for Presidents Day!

Food for Fines - Feb. 19 - 23

Help the Pike County Outreach Council food pantry the week of February 19 - 23 by "paying" your library fines with nonperishable food items at any branch of the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library. During Food for Fines Week, simply bring in one nonperishable food item for up to $5 in library card fees, and your fees will will be waived. 

For example, if a patron owes $12.95 in fines, a donation of three nonperishable items will clear their record. In addition, any fess accrued on items returned late during that week will be removed when you bring in food items for the pantry. At this time, the pantry is in special need of dry beans, s a bag of dry beans will allow $7 to be waived.

The library reserves the right to reject donated items that are damaged, dented, expired, etc.

Western Branch Closed Today, Sat., Dec. 29, Due to Severe Weather

The Western Branch Library will be closed today, Saturday, December 29, due to severe weather.

All Branches Close at 3 pm on Mon., Dec. 31 and Remain Closed Tues., Jan. 1

All branches of the library will close at 3 pm on Monday, December 31 and remain closed on Tuesday, January 1 for New Year's.

Book Club 2013

The library's book club will meet on the last Wednesday of the month at 4:00 pm, every month but November and December. If you aren't able to attend book discussions in person, we invite you to start and participate in online discussions. 

Anyone is welcome, but you must notify Nick Slone, Public Services Coordinator at the library, a month in advance if you need a copy of the upcoming book. You can contact Nick by phone at (740) 947-4921 or by email at gawtrain@oplin.org.

All branches of the library will be closed on Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25 for Christmas.

Waverly Library Closed Wed., Dec. 12, 11:30 am - 2:00 pm, Other Branches Closed Until 2:00 pm

On Wednesday, December 12, the Waverly Library will be closed from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm for staff development.

All other branches will open at 2:00 pm.

All branches of the library will close at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 21 and will remain closed on Thursday, November 22. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
