Read for the Gold Results

The library held another successful Read for the Gold 5K Run / 3K Walk Fundraiser Event. The 1st Place Overall award male and female went to Hunter Hoover and Amanda Stickel, with a time of 20:03 and 20:19 respectively. The 2nd Place Overall award male and female went to Rocky Mitchell, with a time of 21:54 and Maddie McAllister, with a time of 22:02.

The 1st Place finisher of the 3K Walk was Vanessa Mitchell. Pam Daniels took 2nd Place. We would like to thank everyone who participated and sponsored. Update Ohio Voting Address Online

As of August 9th, registered voters in Ohio are now able to use a new online service that for the first time allows them to update their voting address online. This new tool, accessible at MyOhioVote.com, is a convenient way for voters to meet their primary responsibility: to be registered at their current address 30 days before an election. Every Ohioan who is old enough to vote will be able to take advantage of this new system.

Participants completing the 6-hours of instruction are eligible to receive special discounts for monthly broadband service and computer purchases. OHS Open House - Monday, Aug. 20th



Event: Open House

Where: Garnet A. Wilson Public Library of Pike County

Come and meet Darlene Gage, a representative for the Ohio Historical Society. She is visiting Waverly to speak with local residents about our state's rich history.

Darlene is a trained first person historical interpreter and will present a short living history presentation on Mary Ann Bickerdyke, who was born in Ohio and became friends with General Grant during the Civil War. The presentation will take place at 3:00 pm at the library.

The Ohio Historical Society is excited to bring to you a way to connect to Ohio history through her visit and presentation. Event is open to the public.
