Branches Open at 12 Noon Wednesday, May 7

The Piketon, Eastern and Western branches of the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library will open at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 7, while staff attends development training.  The main branch in Waverly will open normally at 9 a.m.

Donate "Food for Fines" in Celebration of National Library Week April 13-19

Celebrate National Library Week and help the local food pantry from April 13 – 19 by “paying” your library fines with nonperishable food items at any branch of the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library! 

During National Library Week, you can bring in “Food for Fines,” and one nonperishable food item will allow $5 of your library card fees to be waived.  For example, if you owe $12.95 in library fines, a donation of three nonperishable food items will clear your record.

All donations will benefit the food pantry at the Pike County Outreach Council.  The library reserves the right to reject donated items that are damaged, dented, expired, etc. 

Special Easter Storytime

Parents and children alike will enjoy this special Easter storytime with local author G. William Ryan of Peebles, Ohio.

Just in time for your spring adventure planning:  Come hear the inspirational tale of local resident Jack Williams and his 346-mile, six-day bike ride across the Ohio to Erie Trail.
